The Works of Julie Boyles
Julie often associates painting with music.  Her still life set ups are composed in the way a writer would orchestrate a musical
score.  The large, scrubbing strokes of the backgrounds are like the loud beats of a timpani drum or the sweeping scales of a violin.
Contrast this with the small strokes of detail and color that are reminiscent of twinkling notes on a piano or the hushed tones of the
flute.  And then there is the crescendo . . . that magical stroke or note that brings an ordinary object to life.  It is a measure so pure it
wells up to an emotion like no other and touches the viewer’s heart.

In painting and presenting her art, Julies’s hope and purpose is that the viewers will be touched with these emotions and that their
lives will be enriched by the experience.

Since 2001, Julie has painted still life, figuratives and portraits, working exclusively in oil and acrylics.  Her paintings can be seen in
private collections throughout the United States.
